...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON...Mixed precipitation. Moderate to heavy snow will continue or develop across much of central to northern Minnesota into extreme northwest Wisconsin. A wintry mix, including sleet, light freezing rain, and rain is expected to develop east- central Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin through the day. The precipitation will diminish in intensity and coverage tonight into Thursday morning. Additional snow accumulations up to two inches and ice accumulations around a light glaze. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The Democratic-backed candidate for Wisconsin Supreme Court has won, defeating President Donald Trump’s endorsed challenger. Susan Crawford’s victory Tuesday cements a liberal majority for at least more three years. In doing so she overcame massive spending from groups funded by billionaire Elon Musk on behalf of her opponent. Crawford defeated Republican-backed Brad Schimel in a race that broke records for spending and became a proxy fight for the nation’s political battles. Trump, Musk and other Republicans lined up behind Schimel, a former state attorney general and supporter of President Donald Trump. Billionaire megadonor George Soros and other Democrats backed Crawford. Her win keeps the court under a 4-3 liberal majority.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin’s Democratic-backed state education chief Jill Underly has won reelection. Underly defeated her Republican-aligned opponent Brittany Kinser on Tuesday. Underly will guide policies affecting K-12 schools as superintendent during President Donald Trump’s second term.  Voters also approved enshrining Wisconsin's voter ID laws in the state constitution.
