ASHLAND - Residents in Ashland are becoming an increasing concerned with the development of homeless camps along the shores of Lake Superior. There are more than 25 camps along the lakeshore, with residents witnessing drug use in some camps and there have been thefts from construction areas from Stuntz Avenue to the ore dock. Ashland resident Joshua Keaton said someone from a camp tried to run down his son and his friends with her car, hitting one of them on their bike. The Ashland City Council had another discussion on the issue at its last meeting but could not come to an agreement as to what the best solution might be.
