N. WISCONSIN - Every year, local artists from around the state of Wisconsin compete to have their artwork as part of the local Wildlife Stamp Design contests. The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has announced it is accepting submissions for the Wild Turkey, Pheasant and Waterfowl Stamp Design. The winning designs will appear on the 2026 collection of stamps. Each season, hunters must purchase a species-specific stamp in order to hunt any of those game birds in Wisconsin. The sales of the stamps generate hundreds of thousands of dollars in revenue used for species management across the state. Anyone wishing to make a submission must do so by August 1st. Judging will take place August 23rd at the Waterfowl Hunters Expo in Oshkosh. Rules, entry information and reproduction rights agreements are available at www.drn.wisconsin.gov/newsroom.
