PRICE COUNTY - Wolves killed a 7-year-old Plott Hound hunting dog in the town of Spirit in Price County on Friday.  This is the fifth wolf depredation in Wisconsin in 2024.  The DNR says dog owners should use caution in wolf-occupied areas.  Gray wolves are listed as an endangered species in the lower 48 states after a federal court ruling on February 10, 2022.  There is no other information available about the Price County incident.
