LANSING - Ahead of the presidential election, Michigan has named this week “Voter Pre-Registration Week” to encourage people to register before November.  The state is encouraging young voters to pre-register. Pre-registration allows teens ages 16 and older to act and ensure they are enrolled to vote once they turn 18.  According to Governor Gretchen Whitmer, younger voters are under-represented in the polls.
