UPPER MICHIGAN - Hunters in the will be able to shoot antlerless deer with a bow for the first time since 2015. The Michigan Natural Resources Commission approved changes to the 2025 deer hunting season.  “Doe with a bow” has the support of many groups, including the U.P. Deer Advisory Team.  Archery season will be October 1 to November 14 and December 1 to January 1, 2026.  The Department of Natural Resources eliminated archery season after rough winters in 2013 and 2014 resulted in low deer numbers throughout the U.P.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A federal grand jury has indicted a Wisconsin judge accused of helping a man evade immigration authorities. Federal prosecutors charged Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Hannah Dugan in April with concealing an individual to prevent arrest and obstruction. A grand jury affirmed the charges after convening yesterday to determine whether there was enough probable cause to continue the case. FBI agents arrested Dugan after they say she directed Eduardo Flores-Ruiz out a back door in her courtroom when she learned immigration agents were in the courthouse searching for him. According to court documents, Flores-Ruiz illegally reentered the U.S. after being deported in 2013. Dugan's attorneys say she maintains her innocence.
