ASHLAND - Work is scheduled to begin on the renovation of the third floor of the Vaughn Public Library in Ashland. The city received a generous grant which will help fund that renovation, which includes several meeting rooms of different sizes, a demo kitchen and a flex space. The third-floor renovations are part of a larger project to modernize the library to enable it to serve the community better. The renovations have not been without some discomfort, businesses that rented space on the third floor have all had to find other accommodations. Originally, the city had told those owners they had until June of this year but then moved the deadline up to now. There were some inconveniences, but all the businesses have been able to relocate, and work is slated to begin in the next few days.
