IRONWOOD – The Long-awaited Ironwood water treatment upgrades are scheduled to begin operation Wednesday… Ironwood’s new water plan is scheduled to go online next Tuesday, the 7th. C.D. Smith Construction has been working on the $11 million Phase 1 part of the plant. City Manager Paul Anderson has said there will be some finishing touches to be done in the spring, which are expected to be completed by the end of May. He also said the plants separate Phase 2 is underway and that a 5B water and sewer project is in the design phase. Anderson presented his agenda report on the water plant at the last meeting of the Ironwood City Commission for 2024.
