MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will host a virtual public hearing on Wednesday, Jan. 8 at 5 p.m. to provide members of the public a formal comment opportunity on the draft rule that would change portions of the state’s deer management unit boundaries.  The DNR reviews deer management unit boundaries every few years, with this year’s review focusing on the management units in the Northern Forest Zone, the Metropolitan Sub-Units and the boundary lines between the Central Forest and Farmland Zones.  Additionally, the DNR may consider options to adjust the geographical areas represented by deer advisory councils in the Northern Forest Zone to better align with adjusted unit boundaries.
