EAGLE RIVER - At the next meeting of the Vilas County Board, there will be a public hearing on the county’s 2025 budget. The finance and budget committee earlier this month did a brief review and some tweaking and approved a budget, and also approved a 2025 budget resolution that, will authorize Vilas County’s 2024 property tax levy. That resolution is now slated to go before the full county board for approval. That mill levy will be $1.49 per $1,000 of equalized value which translates to $149 in property tax for the owner of a $100,000 home in Vilas County.
