IRON MOUNTAIN - The City of Iron Mountain has sent a violation notice and fine to the property owner that put up a 12 foot by 80-foot banner on factory smokestack that says Trump Tower.  Iron Mountain City Ordinance doesn’t clearly state whether the banner is allowed or not.  The letter to remove the banner was sent to the property owner under an ordinance that states that signs must be attached to BUILDINGS and cannot be attached to STRUCTURES without a permit.  Many attended an Iron Mountain City council meeting last night in favor of the banner remaining up.  The owner faces a first offence fine of $100 fine.
