WHITE PINE - The Ontonagon Volunteer Fire Department was called White Pine after a building being demolished caught fire yesterday.  At 12:31 p.m. yesterday the Ontonagon Fire department was paged to assist the Carp Lake Fire Department, along with the Bergland Fire Department, in battling a fire at a two-story apartment complex under demolition.  Also assisting on scene was Michigan DNR Fire, a DNR conservation officer, UPPCO, SEMCO Gas and the Ontonagon County Sheriff’s Department.
