BARAGA — The northern half of the McCormick Wilderness, including the Yellow Dog Trailhead, has now been closed due to the Summit Lake in Baraga County.  The fire has now grown to 304 acres and is reported as 38% contained as of this morning.  The fire was first observed on Oct. 18, the cause of that fire remains under investigation.  It has been advised for civilians to not enter the burning areas of the forest, but as of now there are no structures under threat of being caught in the fire’s path.
