MADISON - Wisconsinites will now have more opportunities to visit state parks, as the DNR has expanded the validity of passes with a new 12-month admission pass.  Officials say the new pass will be valid for 12 months after the month it was purchased instead of expiring on Dec. 31.  The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources announced the new system on Monday and said the passes will be available starting Monday, Dec. 2.  The change comes as Gov. Tony Evers signed 2023 Wisconsin Act 113 into legislation.  Officials also announced for March 2025, conservation patron state park vehicle admission passes will have the same look as other vehicle admission passes. The validity period will not change.
