WAKEFIELD - WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CST MONDAY... Additional snow accumulations between 3 and 5 inches.  Light to moderate lake-effect snowfall will persist into tomorrow across the northwest wind snow belts.  Moderate to heavy lake effect snow will be possible Wednesday through Thursday. Blustery winds beginning Wednesday night may lead to blowing snow, as well as wind chills in the single digits above and below zero.  At our studios we picked up 17 of snow since Thanksgiving with about a foot of snow on the ground.  The ABR Cross Country Ski trails opened over the weekend and Snowriver Mountain Resort in Wakefield reports that they will open for the season this Friday.  No word on when Big Powderhorn Mountain will open however they report a Base of 24-36″ and have been making snow and preparing the hill around the clock.
