HOUGHTON - Officials with the Michigan Tech Department of Public Safety say the body of missing grad student Matthew Sisson has been found. No foul play is suspected. Sisson was first reported missing on February 14th after telling family he was going to Houghton to shop. Intensive searches for the 36-year-old grad student were launched. Public Safety and local law enforcement thank the public for their assistance in the search. Michigan Tech expressed their sympathies to the family and want those impacted by Matthew’s death to know the MTU Center for Student Medical Health and Wellbeing is available for counseling. There is also the 24/7 TELUS Health Student online support which is free to students. Out of respect for the family, no other details are being released.
