ARBOR VITAE - Bad wiring is thought to be the cause of a house fire on Witches Lake Road in Arbor Vitae. Early Tuesday morning crews responded to find fire and smoke coming from the attic of the home and had spread to a bedroom and the bathroom under the attic area. Everyone in the home made it out safe, however a firefighter slipped and fell, sustaining injuries to his leg. He was evaluated at the scene and released. The cause of the blaze is under investigation. Arbor Vitae Fire Rescue reminds everyone to check your smoke detectors and replace batteries if needed.
