UPPER MICHIGAN - The Department of Government Efficiency says it is ending leases for three federal offices in the U.P.  The announcement was posted to DOGE’s “Wall of Receipts” and lists the Internal Revenue Service office in Marquette, the Bureau of Indian Affairs office in Baraga and the Indian Health Service office in Sault Ste. Marie as having leases that will be terminated.  The DOGE website does not provide the number of staff who work within them, or anticipated closure dates. The website does, however, list the annual cost per lease for each space: $54,343 for Marquette, $14,400 for Baraga and $34,375 for Sault Ste. Marie.  So far, DOGE says it has saved $105B or $652.17 per taxpayer.
