BAYFIELD COUNTY - Former Washburn resident Kim Kingsley has had his day on court on charges he attacked a process server and then tried to kidnap them. 72-year old Kingsley was convicted of battery, a Class A misdemeanor and was given a year’s probation. A felony charge of false imprisonment, which is a felony was dropped but read into the court record as part of a plea agreement. Kingley is still facing charges of animal abuse. Kingsley’s next court appearance is scheduled for September 1st, with the trial expected to last about a week. If convicted on all 58 various counts connected to animal abuse and given the maximum sentences, he could be facing more than 50 years in prison.
