FOREST COUNTY — A Laona woman was sentenced to 10 years in prison and 10 years of extended supervision on Friday for killing her husband after running him over with her car. Mary Terry was convicted in the October 2023 in Forest County in Northern Wisconsin for the death of her husband Donald Britten Jr.. Terry’s truck dragged him down the road, killing him, and Terry had a blood alcohol level nearly four times the legal limit. Terry faced a maximum penalty of 25 years, but was sentenced to 10 years of prison and 10 years of extended supervision.  She took a plea deal in January to drop a charge of first-degree intentional homicide, while pleading guilty to homicide by intoxicated use of vehicle.  Terry was taken into custody following the sentencing.
