ASHLAND - The Ashland County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Michigan State Police and the Bayfield County Sheriff’s Office, have arrested a Chicago man for possession and intent to deliver fentanyl.  Authorities say that 56-year-old Charles Mathus was found in possession of 111 grams of fentanyl, which is an estimated street value of $50,000. They took him into custody on Monday, May 20 in the Township of Sandborn near the Bad River Casino.  As of yesterday, Mathus is lodged at the Ashland County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
