UPPER MICHIGAN – The Upper Peninsula Power Company (UPPCO) is announcing ambitious plans to provide 100% renewable and clean energy to its customers by the year 2040.  UPPCO is collaborating with Enel X Advisory Services to meet that goal. Michigan statutes require electric utilities in the state to achieve an energy mix that delivers 60% renewable energy to their customers by the year 2035.
