ARBOR VITAE - The Lakeland Noble F. Lee Memorial Airport is holding an open house and fly-in this Thursday. The airport is owned by Arbor Vitae, Lac du Flambeau, Minocqua and Woodruff, located just north of Woodruff on Highway 51. The fly-in will be part of the Flying Hamburger Social, during which those who fly-in have a meal prepared by the Lakeland Loons Radio Controlled Aircraft flying club. The Hamburger Social begins at four. Those attending can take a walking tour of the airport with airport staff on hand to answer questions. The event promises to draw at least 30 non-based aircraft, both traditional and experimental.
