BESSEMER – The demolition of an eyesore on US-2 in Bessemer will come down today.  Demolition activity of a home destroyed by fire in September 2021 at 308 W. Lead Street begins today according to the City of Bessemer.  The city says they have no time frame on how long the demolition and clean-up will take and are asking drivers on US-2 to be patient, and to expect traffic delays on U.S. 2.
