LANSING - State lawmakers have passed the final state budget for the 2025 fiscal year ahead of the July 1 deadline.  The budget includes an additional $75 million in revenue sharing to local governments across the state, as well as several items that will specifically benefit the communities mainly in the central Upper Peninsula.  However, $1 million will go towards U.P. water infrastructure projects, another $1 million to aid in the research and development of a mass timber market in Michigan and $250,000 to assist families grieving after a death by suicide.
