IRONWOOD – There will be a special meeting of the Ironwood Area Schools Board of Education tonight.  The Special meeting is to select Superintendent candidates to interview and to select final questions for the 1st and 2nd round of interviews.  Ironwood schools superintendent Travis Powell announced his resignation in April after accepting a position at the Gogebic Ontonagon Intermediate School District as a director of Instructional services.  Powell was Superintendent at Ironwood for the past 6 years.  His resignation will go in effect at the end of this month.  The special meeting will be held tonight at 6pm in Study Hall Room 230 at the Luther L. Wright K-12 School in Ironwood.
