N. WISCONSIN - Congressman Tom Tiffany introduced a bill that would make the Apostle Islands Wisconsin's first national park.  Tiffany's Apostle Islands National Park and Preserve Act would redesignate the area from a national lakeshore to a national park.  The House Natural Resources Subcommittee on Federal Lands held a hearing on the legislation yesterday.  No boundaries would be altered with the redesignation.  Various officials and organizations also support the Apostle Islands National Park and Preserve Act, including several Congressman throughout the state.
