ASHLAND - A homeless man from Ashland has pleaded guilty to charges connected to a theft from a teacher at Lake Superior Elementary School. Gregory Secord, 31 pleaded guilty of stealing money from a teacher’s bag last December. He was also charged with breaking and entering, disorderly conduct, possession of narcotics and methamphetamine. As part of his plea agreement, all charges were dismissed except for theft of moveable property of less than $2,500 and possession of drug paraphernalia connected to another case. Secord admitted he was looking for money to find a place to stay. He was sentenced to 12 months’ probation and must undergo drug treatment.
