N. WISCONSIN — The Wisconsin Department of Health Services has released new immunization requirements for the 2024-2025 school year and for 2024 childcare entry.  New this year, parents need to vaccinate their kids heading into 7th grade against meningitidis with a meningococcal vaccine.  Then, if they have a 12th grader who is eligible, they need a meningococcal booster vaccine.  If parents' kids had the chicken pox, they now need to be diagnosed by a doctor while they have it in order to be exempt from getting the vaccine.  All other requirements from last year are the same.  There is no requirement for the seasonal flu or COVID-19 vaccination.
