IRONWOOD - The Gogebic Community College Board of Trustees meeting was Tuesday.  Leah Hagen-Harris, of Bergland, was approved as the new Student Success and Engagement Coordinator.  She will transition to her new role beginning on September 30 or sooner if a new Director of TRiO is hired and Gillian Van Treese, of Waukesha, WI was hired as the new English Instructor located in Houghton.  The Gogebic Community College Board of Trustees heard a report from Beth Steiger, Business Faculty and Miranda Heglund, Institutional Researcher, co-chairs for the 2024-2027 Strategic Plan at their regular monthly meeting. In 2023, the Strategic Planning Team of Gogebic Community College was created broadly representing all facets of the college including Enhance Student Experience, Expand Academic Programming & Services, and Increase Community and Campus Experience.  The report indicated high energy and participation since the plan was implemented.
