BAYFIELD - A trial has been set for a Bayfield man accused of repeated sexual assault of a minor. Danny Halvorson, 44, is charged with first degree sexual assault of a child under 12, four counts of repeated sexual assault of the same child and one count of second-degree sexual assault of a child. In the criminal complaint, the victim told a social worker in 2023 that a family member had done weird things to her and that he was probably a pedophile. Halvorson is accused of assaulting the child from the time she was six until she was 14. Halvorson’s trial date is set for May 22nd.
