N. WISCONSIN / UP - More than 44,000 wireless Christmas tree light controllers are being recalled because the wireless receiver can overheat and spark a fire, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.  The recalled light controllers contain two parts - a decorative lever or switch to control the lights on a Christmas tree and a wireless receiver that plugs into a wall outlet.  The controllers sold at Walmart and other stores were a green, red and white peppermint candy design with a candy cane lever. The controllers display the words, “Christmas Light Controller.”  The recalled light controllers were sold in stores and online from July through November for $25 to $40.  Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled light controllers and return them for a full refund.
