MINOCQUA — Minocqua Brewing Company owner Kirk Bangstad was in Rhinelander yesterday for a public hearing before the Oneida County Zoning Committee board of appeals. The Board of appeals ultimately decided to keep Bangstad’s conditional use permit for Minocqua Brewing Company revoked. Bangstad will not legally be able to operate his storefront in Minocqua.  In October 2023, Bangstad agreed to a conditional use permit for his business — Minocqua Brewing Company, After failing to meet the parts of the agreement, the Oneida County Zoning committee revoked Bangstad’s permit last summer. At yesterday’s board of appeals public hearing, Bangstad alleged selective enforcement being weaponized against him because of his progressive politics.
