N. WISCONSIN – Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers, Kwik Trip, and others highlight opening of new EV charging stations around the state. In May, Gov. Evers and WisDOT announced $23 million to support 53 projects to expand EV infrastructure across Wisconsin. Fast-charging stations came online in December at Kwik Trip stores across the state including at Kwik Trip stores in Ashland.  Additional charging stations are set to be available at other awarded sites in the coming months, including at Snows Market in Mercer and at Twin Gables Café Lounge in Brule.  The charging stations are funded by the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Formula Program as part of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) signed by former President Joe Biden in 2021.  The bill designated $7.5 billion to build a national network of electric vehicle charging stations.
