ONTONAGON - Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly is in critical need of volunteer drivers in Ontonagon and Baraga counties to support its updated Medical Transportation Program. Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly in the U.P. provides more than 800 rides for the elderly. Right now, the program is about 50 drivers shy of what they need to fulfill all the requests for rides. Individuals interested in volunteering must to submit an application, receive a background check, and complete a free orientation and training. If volunteering isn’t something you can help with, Little Brothers will also gratefully accept donations, which will help them to continue their programs and services free of charge. More information can be found at lbfemichigan.org.
