N. WISCONSIN - The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and the County Deer Advisory Councils have announced deer management meetings are scheduled for tomorrow, in Vilas and Oneida Counties. Each county in Wisconsin has a County Deer Advisory Council that meets once a year to provide input and recommendations to the DNR on local deer management based on deer herd numbers, county management goals, and the public feedback they receive. After the County Deer Advisory Council process, the DNR will bring its recommendations for the 2025 season to the Natural Resources Board for review in June. The meeting will be held in Vilas County tomorrow at 6 p.m. in the Boulder Junction Town Hall; and in Oneida at the Woodruff Town Hall at 6 p.m. More information is available at dnr.wisconsin.gov.
