IRONWOOD – Gogebic Community College says enrollment is up.  The 2024 fall enrollment report showing the Headcount and credits are both showing increases for the second year in a row and the report shows dual enrolled, early college and non-degree seeking student numbers have also increased.  The colleges retention rate for first time-in-college students from fall 2023 to fall 2024 is 63% for full-time and 54% for part-time which is above the national average of 62.5% and 44.9%. Overall, 56.6% of GCC’s total student population is enrolled in occupational programs, 41.9% in transfer programs and the other 1.5% includes non-degree seeking students, dual enrolled and the Early College program.
